We Can’t Spend Taxpayers’ Money Better Than They Can
Rep. Fred Keller (R-85) issued the following statement in response to the Governor’s budget address and proposal:
“The Governor’s proposed General Fund budget would spend approximately $33.8 billion, which would include $4.7 billion in new taxes. Under the Governor’s proposal, the Personal Income Tax would be increased 20.5%, and the Sales & Use tax rate would rise 10% with the tax base broadened by eliminating 45 Sales & Use tax exemptions.”
