Tune in tomorrow evening at 9 pm for the only Vice-Presidential debate.  Elaine Quijano, CBS News, will moderate the program from Longwood University, Farmville, Virginia.

The Vice Presidential debate will be divided into nine time segments of approximately 10 minutes each. The moderator will ask an opening question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.

The first debate of the General Election cycle will be held tonight at Hofstra University.  It will feature a one-on-one debate with Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump.  Minor party candidates did not gain enough support for this first debate.  Tonight’s moderator is Lester Holt from NBC.

Two more debates will follow.

October 9 – Martha Raddatz from ABC will moderate the exchange from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.

October 19 – Chris Wallace from Fox News is the moderator for the event at University of Nevada at Las Vegas.

State Committeeman John V. Rowe and UCRC Chair Carolyn Conner will attend the Fall State Republican Committee meeting this weekend.  They are Union County’s representatives to Republican State Party.

Friday afternoon there will be break-out sessions, committee meetings, and trainings.  The keynote speaker for the Fall Dinner is U.S. Senator Tom Cotton.

Saturday morning begins with the Central Caucus breakfast meeting followed by the PAGOP General Meeting.
