Every four years the delegates to the Republican National Convention approve an updated Platform. This document identifies the official positions of the GOP for the next four years.
Prior to the full meeting of the RNC from July 18-22, the Platform Committee will assemble the draft platform. Comprised of two delegates from each state, the Platform Committee will discuss issues of importance as they define what the Republican Party will stand for and promote during this year’s election and for the next four years.
Carol Sides, a CD-10 delegate from Lycoming County, will serve on the Platform Committee in Cleveland beginning today.
